Who of you has the Microsoft Game Pass Ultimate for XBOX and PC?

He
- in Xbox

There's the Microsoft Game Pass, which contains about 170 games. Do you use that?

For Xbox or for PC?

What do you think of that?

Fa

I use it for the PC, especially for e.g. The Outer Worlds, what you could play "free" right after the release, was worth it.

Sk

It's a great thing. There are very, very many games for free - and also modern games and free exclusive titles from release.

There's no comparable offer.

Now connect ala Stadia with a technically clean Everytime / Everywhere stream and the thing is perfect.

se

I do not use it because I always return to the games and would like to be able to call them up at any time.

Ma

I use it because in addition to the game subscription, it also includes gold membership at a fair price.

The range of games is large enough and varied. Always coming, also current titles and the Microsoft Exclusives even remain permanently available to me.

A thoroughly successful thing.

Ma

I don't see that the games don't stay forever as a big disadvantage and logically that after they disappear you can't play them anymore because you paid for the opportunity to play and not for the game itself. Compared to the selection, it is also damn cheap. Like Netflix.

The games are available long enough to play through them and if you only join shortly before it disappears you will be informed about the app in good time and you will also get a discount to buy it permanently. I still buy games next to the gamepass.

That with your huge gold supply is probably an absolute exception. I have a monthly debit and can also cancel at any time. So I have the choice whether none of it, gold, normal gamepass or ultimate.

He

Yes, only one difference is. In the "Games for Gold" games, where you have 4 games per month… They stay in your games library as long as you have gold. Even if they disappear from the GOLD Games Benefits after a month, they stay in the library of you or me and you can continue playing them. You can only play them if you are no longer a gold member.

With Ultimate or The Game Pass it is like this:

If Microsoft takes Forza Horizon 4 from the Ultimate Game Pass, then from that point on - even if it's installed locally - I won't be able to play the game anymore. And then it doesn't matter whether I'm still the ultimate member or not.

That is the difference.

Because of the exception… It's not like that. This has been done on all portals dealing with video games, forums, groups, WhatsApp groups, groups of friends.

Because you have to see the following calculation:

40x3 = 120 euro (3 years gold for 120 euro)

1 Euro Ultimate Activation (Gold 1: 1 to Ultimate)

Total cost 121 euro for 3 years

Now the Game Pass Ultimate currently costs 12.99 euro per month (you will know that too)

https://www.microsoft.com/...verviewtab

12.99 euro (1 month Ultimate when debited) x 36 months (3 years) = 467.64 euro

So if I take your 467.64, which you pay in 3 years and subtract my paid 121.00 euro from it, then I'm proud to have a term of 3 years

346.64 euro saved.

It's almost a week all inclusive Turkey with flight there and back…

I just mean… And that's what a lot of people did.

3 years because 3 years in advance is the maximum term that you can book into your Microsoft account.

Ma

I already understood what you mean but you obviously don't mean me.

You do not pay a comparatively small fee to play a special title that must be installed on your hard drive. But like a Netflix subscription for the possibility to use the entire offer as long as it is available.

You are aware of this beforehand, so I don't need to criticize it.

By the way, I bought Forza Horizon 4 in the Ultimate version, but the Microsoft Exclusives remain permanent anyway.

Alternatively, you would have to buy every game. Then it belongs to you permanently but also costs a lot more.

The point with your subscription may therefore come from the fact that your perception is also composed of such forums and portals. The majority of users are certainly not. And that was also known before you converted your 3 years of gold into an Ultimate Membership. That is, I think, but a small disadvantage in view of your saved money.

So it's a good thing I'm not a fan of package tours with all inclusive. Not only that the example shows how strangely shifted values are created in our global market economy, I think it will also be safe and hopefully no longer possible at such almost outrageous prices in the future.

Je

I'm super happy with the game pass ultimate. You always have enough games to choose from, wot now has something like member rewards etc. In addition, the game pass includes ultimate gold. Therefore, I find the price-performance ratio completely okay
