Back then I had an Xbox360, so I had a lot of fun with it.
Then I bought a Playstation 4 instead of an Xbox One and I have to say that I didn't really like the Playstation.
The Xbox controller is mMn. Better, the graphical interfaces and more convinced me to buy an Xbox X rather than a PS5.
Things like that the PS5 controller has a micro I'm not personally interested, because you should always have a headset.
If then it will be an Xbox, whereby after the PS4 I now have a PC, which I'm more satisfied with since I can do everything: play, surf and so on.
Before that I had a laptop and the PS4 and always had to change, but I spent most of my time on the laptop because then and now I don't have as many games as I did a few years ago.

This means that you get more performance for less money.

Actually I would answer PC, but then everyone would have a go. That's why I say MY opinion on the two consoles.
Design: Everyone sees the design differently, someone likes it and not everyone else. But I think the Xbox X is cooled a little better than the PS5.
Controller: The PS5 controller is very similar to the Xbox One controller, I think the PS5 and Xbox X controllers will be relatively similar.
Games: Both consoles have good exclusive titles, on PS5 Ghost of Tsushima and Spiederman, on Xbox X it is Halo Infinite and very likely a new Forza soon.
Performance: The performance will not have made a big difference.
Conclusion: You have to be able to decide what you want more, at least I stay with the PC.
