Xbox fans start to run even though Xbox is off?

My Xbox has been off for 2 days but the fan has just come on.

I removed the power cable because the fan was too loud, isn't that bad?

When I removed the power cable, there was such a faint pip

Is it normal for the fan to start running even though the Xbox has been off for 2 days?

ho

The fans are spinning even though the Xbox is off? I think something is wrong there.

Pu

If it is in standby mode, yes.

Re

I think the Xbox turns itself on sometimes. E.g. If I turn mine off and have updates, but turn off the console completely and the next day, the updates are downloaded. Then that means that the console will turn itself on. I think this is normal. Because a Windows PC, for whatever reason, sometimes switches itself on and makes updates.

Br

Stop I pressed the off button on the Xbox. Is it then on standby?

Pe

You may be haunted.

A friend of mine had a similar situation where the television made strange noises even though it was off.

We called in ghost hunters who discovered paranormal activity. Apparently there was a poltergeist in my friend's apartment.

The noises stopped after a week, the Poltergeist must have moved on.

Br

Yes but the Xbox logo on the Xbox was dark so off. When the Xbox is on, it lights up white

Yu

Unfortunately, the only thing with your television was the function to automatically load updates in standby.

But of course, if I want money from you, I will of course find something paranormal that needs to be investigated.

Br

Unfortunately, April 1st is already over

Yu

Does not have to be in standby for an update function.

With TVs and receivers it is common practice that they download and install updates at night without you noticing that they are or were switched on.

Re

Yes, that's always the case with me, when I switch it off, the logo does not light up. Then I leave it like that and the next day the updates are downloaded, but the logo doesn't light up. So I think that it will come on at a certain time.

Pu

There are 2 modes on my Xbox One. With one of them, it goes into a kind of standby so that it starts up faster. With the other, it goes down completely and is then off.

You should be able to change the energy mode in Settings

Br

Is it bad if you remove the power cable while doing this because I have also set the function that it should automatically download the updates

Br

OK thanks

Re

In general, pulling out a device while it is running is not beneficial, but switch the console on first (if it is not already on) and then off via the controller. Then pull out the cable (as soon as it is out).

Yu

Yup. You will surely find a setting for this somewhere in the system.

Pu

You can say the same about the Playstation. Does not matter

Ma

Best answer from those who are otherwise given here.

Ma

So you already know that this is normal thanks to Baumanager1.

When it comes to switching off, there are two variants of the Xbox.

One quick start-up, this is a standby mode which enables the console to pull updates independently. In addition, the console boots up faster, but it always consumes some electricity.

The second variant is called saving energy. In doing so, you actually turn off the console. It then starts more slowly when switched on and updates are no longer drawn automatically. However, this saves electricity and your fan is also quiet.

You can find the option quite easily. In the settings, the first item General. There, at the bottom right, select energy mode and start and there again select the desired energy mode in the middle.

Optionally, the console can also be switched off completely, which would be a bit cumbersome in the long run.

Ma

But it is normal and occurs more often.

Pu

With pleasure

Ke

What does that have to do with the Playstation now?
