HDMI to DisplayPort adapter 120 Hz possible?

I wanted to use 120 Hz with my new Xbox, but this is only possible with my monitor via DVI and DisplayPort. Could I use this adapter to connect the Xbox via DVI and would the 120 Hz be possible?

I don't think this will work with a console

The Xbox and Ps can't use the DisplayPort protocol

Dvi could possibly work but consider the DVI does not transmit sound
