So, I've had a (second-hand) Xbox One Elite for 2 years, it gave up the ghost yesterday afternoon (just can't turn it on)
Now I've bought a new console (Xbox One S).
But most of my games are digital, and if I put my old profile on the new console as a home console, I can download the games but I can't play until the owner (me on the old console) sets up the new console as a home console.
This does not work, because this old console is broken. I still have my profile, but I can't play my games.
Are these games and dlc's lost forever or is there a way to make this console the main owner of my digital games without the old console?
If I understood it right:
You signed in with your account on the new console and set it as your home console.
If you want to play now comes the message because of the home console, even though you have set it?
Is this about another account or just one?
Well, I have the same account on the new console, have also downloaded my games (at least most) but if I want to play these games still comes this message with the home console, so that I can only play it if the main owner also plays. Although of the same account was purchased.
That sounds very strange and should not happen eig.
Could it just explain to me that the console is bought second hand and what is with the previous owner.
Anyhow one way or the other times report to the support. They usually help very well.
