No, it never happened to me.

I'm in the Delta Preview ring, and also got the brand new home menu on my Xbox - now only runs smoothly, only the Microsoft Store had rumsppakt - and NO, data is not lost, i.e. Your gamesaves of the original Xbox, Xbox 360, and that Xbox One, and your settings for and with your profile are also stored in the cloud. Only private files that you e.g. Hewn on the console via USB stick are gone. The only exception are the worlds of Minecraft Bedrock Edition, if they were not previously backed up via cloud…
