Is there a way to get more FPS on the console?

I play with the keyboard and mouse on the xbox Fortnite and well with 40 rarely 60 fps it is a lot more difficult

Play on a 1ms 60Hz computer monitor. Is better than on a TV monitor. I recommend BenQ 1920x1080 with 60Hz and 1ms response time. My monitor is called BenQ RL2455HM - I think it's best for 60 fps games.

No, consoles are built so that the game's developer can customize the game as much as possible to keep everything running. Conversely, this means that the player can't make any settings, as is the case on the PC.

In the case of an XBox One or PS4 (Rev. 1 each), you have to take into account that their hardware was somewhere from 2012 to 2013 (CPU + GPU from AMD) and roughly classified with the CPU 2 × Athlon 5350 @ just under 2 Ghz (8 Cores / 8 threads with socket AM1) also roughly corresponds to a slightly modified Radeon HD 7850 to HD 7870 (later renamed Radeon R7-265X, or R7 / R9-270 transferred to PC hardware).

(In terms of hardware, PS4 and XBox One are relatively close together because of the almost identical assembly with AMD components)

This is not necessarily the "burner" anymore for a game like Fortnite, which is why you will have to be satisfied with> 30 minimum FPS @ 720p on this old hardware.

There are more modern games that have already struggled hard on these consoles @ 720p with 25/30 FPS at a minimum. We're just talking about hardware that, even in 2012/2013, was at best a rough middle class for gaming compared to PCs. (AMD hardware makes this comparison relatively easy)

There's nothing with OC either, because in addition to their compactness, these consoles also bring DAS what they have to do with this hardware.

If you need significantly higher FPS to fragment in this game, there's no way around an XBox OneX (so you might not have to buy this game again), or better a modern mid-range PC.

Have an Xbox One S, but thanks now I know a little more.

Thanks very helpful.

My pleasure. 😉

In terms of performance, there are no special differences between the normal XBox One and One S. On the S, only the two Jaguar processors were exchanged for more economical models of their own type (finer manufacturing structures than before). The clock rate of the graphics unit has been increased a bit and the chip has been functionally revised, but technically not changed fundamentally.

The only thing you could try is whether a reduction in the screen resolution might bring something else if you haven't already set 720p / 768p natively on your TV.
