It is quite simply a matter of taste what you prefer, although the Xbox controler feels much better in my hand.
Take both of them in hand.
I'm a PS fan and would of course recommend one because the handling is perfect.

I prefer the Xbox One controller here. It is also more likely to be recognized by most games than the PS4 controller and therefore also works with the Xbox Windows 10 app.
And btw you will have the most native support with the Xbox controller
