Do such adapters (Component to VGA) work at all?

For example, to connect the Xbox or PS2 originals to a VGA monitor.

Ha

Why should not this work?

"Component Video" has three cables each for the color channels red, green and blue, each with one signal line and one return line (GND).

VGA has 15 pins, 6 of them on GND, 3 for the color channels, 4 not wired and 2 for H / V sync (these are obviously optional).

I also thought about how I connect the console and the CRT monitor, ultimately I came to the conclusion, the best to connect to a CRT TV.

I'm not the expert now, but if I understood correctly, the horizontal Hz is much higher in the monitor, probably there's still input lag and a loss of quality and what about audio?

That would be no problem

I have my tube TVs are like sand on the sea, you get some of them as a gift.
ZB. The MX series from B & O should be pretty good.

I do not want to stop you now, give it a try. Only the Ps2 has component at all? The Xbox should even have a standard VGA cable.

Oh, that should be under my answer. This app…
