I have an XBOX 360 (and no, I won't buy a new PS or XBOX, at least not at the moment) and I want to buy an Assasin's Creed, I already have Brotherhoood. I'm just thinking about buying AC III, but I just heard the story is supposed to be pretty confusing (even if the story isn't really that important to me), but also in general it's supposed to be pretty bad. What are the special features in AC III that are not available in Brotherhood? I've read a lot of bad things, but the gameplay actually looked pretty good. Should I buy AC III now (I don't really feel like Black Flag because Pirate and Rogue are supposed to be a bad Black Flag).
In my opinion, the games have aged relatively badly and didn't have much fun with them.
But I can recommend Origins and Odessey.
Personally, I really like AC 3. It's about the American Revolution and the War of Independence between 1753 and 1783
It's not confusing at all, like all the other AC parts, it's very educational.
I think the reason many people rate AC 3 badly is because it is the successor to the Ezio Trilogy and it is extremely popular. Everything that comes after that is rated worse by extreme fans
Rouge isn't a "bad" AC Black Flag either. Rouge simply shows the story from a different point of view, from the point of view of the Templars and not the Assassins
I recommend every AC part. You can also borrow them first, for example from the library, and play them before you buy them
Alright thanks
I have an XBOX 360, the newest one for it is rogue I think…
Yes, sorry, you're right. Somehow had the one in mind.
All right, thanks anyway
For me, AC and AC II are the only parts of the series that rightly have the title Assassin's Creed in their name.
Everything that came after that was only there to milk the cow without paying attention to story or stringency. As an action advebture, the sequels aren't bad, but they have little to do with the beginning of the series.
Check out the first few parts. See it detached from everything you've played so far and just let yourself into it. Yes, graphically they may not be up to date anymore, but if you want a story-driven game, you can't go wrong with AC and AC II.
The third part is pretty boring from a narrative point of view. You travel a lot in the forest and there's no real feeling of being an assassin… More like a kind of disguised Aragorn. If you understand.
I would definitely recommend the first two parts.
In my opinion, AC III is one of the best of the parts, whether it's gameplay or story. In the story you are in the middle of the American Revolution.
