I would be interested to know if it makes a big difference in speed when you have a certain Fritz! Box used as a router instead of the Vodafone Home Station supplied. (Attention to LAN speed)
With Kabel Deutschland I always had the best internet connection (cable), but I still went back to DSL, because with cable you were often assigned banned IP addresses which you can't change yourself. This meant that it was often no longer possible to log on to the Playstation Network or XBox. You can only wait until you get a new one and that can sometimes take days. With DSL you only have to restart the modem if something like that happens… Speed isn't everything! (The Vodafone Box has better Wi-Fi reception, Fritzbox has better functions)
So if you connect via lan anyway, you can also use the router supplied by vaderfone. However, do not expect miracles from the part of what port releases etc. Concerns. The Fritz box would be the better choice. But please also not from them, because as far as I know it is branded. That means they have also cut the firmware.
your own Fritz box would be the best alternative here.
If so, I would have my own new Fritz! Box to purchase. I don't think much of branded devices.
I tend towards Fritz! Box 6591 Cable.
