PS3 or XBox 360 due to jailbreak?

I'm considering buying a PS3 for moddening / jailbreaking but I also got an offer to get a Ne XBox 360 because jailbreaking / modding (such as GTA Online) is also better or is it easier with PS3? What is your opinion?

Would rather get a ps3 because you can still play online for free and you don't have to screw them apart during the jailbreak
