We don't have any specs but we already know how much the Xbox Series S and X Series will cost. The Xbox Series S costs only 299 euro and according to Microsoft this console should run games in 1440p 60fps and 1080p 144fps which I don't believe until the console is released. According to many articles, a 512 GB custom NVME SSD is also installed.
Good PC for 300 euro that you can build yourself.

If you just gamble, the console is clearly a much better choice.
To get the same results with my PC, I would have to spend $ 220 on a GTX 1660 Super alone. The GPU would also be worse, one reason that the Series S console should have 10GB GDDR6 Vram. Of course, I can do a lot more with the PC like homework for example.
The question may seem stupid but I still ask. How can the new consoles be so cheap?
Contracts + They buy the pallets wisely
Console is not everything!
I'm not into the console game that much, but console sales aren't everything. You have to consider, the least money is made with the console itself.
Maybe it's a calculated negative business. Because every console sold is also a customer who potentially concludes subscription services from Microsoft such as The Game Pass etc.
So if Microsoft can sell more consoles than Sony with the PS5 with stable specs and a low price, the likelihood is that they will continue to earn money with the console through other services.
So it is absolutely not necessary, purely commercially, for Microsoft to recoup the costs of the new Xbox through console sales! You also have to consider the prestige behind it when you have sold most of the consoles.
It is technically a brutal advertisement for Microsoft if they would sell more Xbox's than Sony PS5. All in all, far too much counts in the whole thing than just looking at the consoles that have been sold.
Consoles have always been good to buy in terms of price / performance.
With consoles, however, you pay significantly more for everything else compared to the PC.
→ Games are more expensive
→ You need a subscription to be able to use all functions
→ etc. Etc.
