GTA Online introductory bug?

Hi. When my friend and I want to play GTA Online together, we both get the following message:

GTA Online introductory bug

Could someone help us with this? We both made sure we completed the first two Great Missions. According to all forums, this is probably a general bug. Can you get around that by joining via the Rockstar Games Launcher? This is supposed to be a general bug at the moment, which has probably been on all since December. Platforms (XBOX, PS4 and co.)
