Don't let yourself be drawn in there.
It is more about the games that e.g. It is exclusive to the console. If there are games that interest you and are only available on the XBox, then your choice will probably fall on the XBox. No matter whether it is better or worse.
Both are good. But there are enough who are still at war with the consoles and tell you something else. Ultimately, it depends on your preference. If the Ps4 didn't have so much better exclusive titles (in my opinion), I might have gotten the XBox One - I find the controller even better.
It must also be mentioned that the new XBox will be significantly superior to the Ps5 as far as the hardware is concerned.
As a PC player, I only get consoles for exclusive titles.
