I would like to connect my xbox to the router via LAN since I have had ping problems lately… Unfortunately, this is in the living room and the xbox in my room. Does anyone have an idea how I could still connect my xbox via lan?
You could try D-Lan over the power line.
What kind of answers do you want?
Either lay the cable over the hallway, stairs, whatever, or drill holes.
There are so-called window and door openings. These are extra flat pieces of cable that you can fit through the "gaps" under interior doors and often between the door and frame. This allows you to overcome "bottlenecks", gamble with the door closed, etc.
In your place I would use a so-called powerline adapter. You plug it into the socket on your router and one into your xBox. Then you have, so to speak, "LAN via the socket".
This would probably work out, but you can also take one that is more expensive. From Delvolo e.g. If you find someone else who looks good, feel free to send me the link.
Search for Powerline or D-Lan. That would have been a good answer.
I wouldn't recommend anyone to gamble.

PS: available with battery or mains connection
I can definitely recommend it. I've had good experiences with it. Sure, a LAN cable is better, but if you can't do it with yourself, for example because you live for rent and you shouldn't necessarily pierce the walls, that's a good alternative.
I know the parts and stick to not recommending them for gaming.
Expensive to buy and possibly more frustration than pleasure. Of course, everything can run smoothly, but you don't have to, then you burned a lot of coal.
I find 40 to 80 euro not expensive, but it is a matter of opinion. Actually everything has to run smoothly. Put it in, press two buttons, done. And if it doesn't work, that's not a problem. Sending back or giving back is always possible.
