I don't even know how to start.
The problem is simple, nothing works. A friend and I have activated ports 27015 TCP / UDP and 7777 TCP / UDP. We even got Hamachi and tried it. We also turn off the firewall completely. We tried Wi-Fi and cable. I even tried it on the Xbox. We have already switched off the antivirus program on a trial basis.
Incidentally, we mentioned Microsoft's game, as I also play with the Xbox in between.
And we really don't want to rent a server.
Did we forget ports? We seem to have forgotten something xD
We would be happy if someone can finally help us.
You have to create a server to play on…
The one with the better PC starts ARK Server Manager and then a server - you can then play on it, in the same LAN…
You can forget about Hamachi, it doesn't work with ARK…
if the firewall was off, then you did the wrong port forwarding in the router…
or you don't have an ipv4 but only DS-Lite… Then hosting is impossible…
Thank you for your prompt reply.
Unfortunately we're not in the same country. Unfortunately, she sits in the other state…
We turn off the firewall because we've read everywhere that it blocks the host.
We have ipv4 … The only question is, what is it important for? For the ports? The problem with my laptop was that we first had to assign a fixed IP address. I always had a new 😅
So, please switch the firewall on again, because that's not the problem…
Then someone has to decide to host - i.e. To provide the server…
How do you know you have IPv4? What does https://www.wieistmeineip.de indicate that an ipv4 indicates? (please do not write them in here) The IPv4 must be in the middle…
You have to release the ports in the router, which also assigns the internal IP's to the PCs in your own network… Here you can set that individual computers always get the same IP. So leave the function on your laptop to obtain the IP automatically…
Well, it's on the right for me. First the normal IP address and to the right of it is "Your IPv4 address is: …". But now we have found that it does not say IPv4 but IPv6. I sent her the link too.
Can that be the reason? Or does it really matter?
So my laptop can always set a new IP without blocking Ark?
The one who creates the server must not have IPv6, the Ark can't cope with IPv6 … So the server has to be created by the person who has real ipv4 … No DS-Lite…
Show me screenshots of your port forwarding…
First try a Minecraft server, it is easier to operate… The port would be TCP 25565 …
