Xbox one x controller keeps turning off?

I recently got the xbox one x and play without cables, so with batteries.

Now it happens again and again that the controller simply switches itself off, but the xbox symbol on it continues to light up. If I take out the batteries now it doesn't light up anymore and I can turn it on again.

What could that be?

Have you checked whether you can update the controller? (Settings> Devices & Streaming> Accessories> •••)

Yes, thanks, it worked, really didn't think it was so simple, it wouldn't have been so much work that you might have to write a message on the screen that a uodate is available.
