Maybe someone can help here… Would it be possible for one to play warzone over the ps4 and one over the xbox in the other room? So in an apartment / house. I've googled everything possible. But just couldn't find an answer.

I can't answer whether crossplay is possible… Since I don't really understand anything about it.
But it is possible to get online with two consoles using a single internet line. And you can also play co-op or pvp together without any problems.
My husband and I each own a PS4 and occasionally play games like Borderlands, Destiny, Bloodborne, etc. In co-op mode. We simply log into PSN with our own account. - Even at PS3 times, we gambled together using the same Internet connection.
It would really be something extraordinary now, if that were to be different with CoD.
