No Forza / GT, no Halo, no Killzone, no God Of War, no Uncharted, etc. And many other games still appear in parallel on the old consoles, which apart from graphical compromises tend not to have any differences in content

Before 2020 I had no console except my Nintendo Ds and when in 2020 the purchase of a new 4K OLED TV, the release of the next-gen consoles and my 18th birthday (and with it the possibility to buy games legally from 18) came together, the perfect time came my first console is the Nintendo Ds to buy. I decided on the Xbox Series X because it is the most powerful console and would get the Ms Flight Simulator in the summer, which I absolutely needed as a plane lover. Buying an old Xbox One X in 2020 would have been stupid because then I would not be able to play the new next gen games that are coming in the next few years and it is also not bad for me that there are no next gen games because I'm anyway just catch up on the games of the old consoles like Gta 5 and Rdr2. I got hold of a Series X just in time for the release and am absolutely satisfied. It looks cool, is super quiet, fast thanks to SSD, powerful and has a few ingenious features with Quick Resume as well as Auto HDR and Frameboost for non-optimized titles.

And even if the big Next / Current Gen Exclusives on both consoles are still the exception, the older games that have been optimized since then are on a completely different level. Not only visually but also playfully thanks to 60 or even up to 120 FPS. The fact that they do not differ in terms of content from the Last Gen versions is not a disadvantage.

In times of 4k HDR TVs you want to use the potential and whoever has played a Horizon 4 or Gears like this will hardly want to return to the Last Gen.
