A good PC is always better than the console. But for 500 euro you don't get a PC.

What matters is what you plan to do with the device and how much you are willing to pay.

Someone who just wants to take a leisurely paddle every now and then will be best served with a console, but someone who attaches great importance to flexibility, quality and performance will not be able to avoid a PC.

A console is a good and cheap way to play video games, but it also has some limitations. A PC offers many more options, provided you want to use them.

In the end, however, there are also personal preferences, not everyone gets along with a PC or prefers to play on a console (e.g. Because friends do too).

What is actually better in the end everyone has to decide for themselves, for me it is clearly the PC. I once had a PS4 running myself and gambled a little with it, but it's definitely more fun on the PC.

It doesn't bother me to spend more money on a PC than a console would cost, but that's simply because I get more use from the PC. If a single component costs 500 euro and, in return, an entire console costs the same, then it will still be the PC for me, even if it ends up costing ~ 1,500 euro.

My current computer cost 3,000 euro, which is of course a clear difference compared to a console. But I can use the 3,000 euro in the PC better than a console for 500 euro, simply because I can and do work on the PC.

And then what's the point of the question? It is logical that a 1200 euro gaming PC is better than a 500 euro console

The best would be PC & Ps5 (that's how I'll do it) so that you have all exclusive titles covered

Then definitely the PC. With such a ~ 1400 euro PC you can keep up well for the next 5 years. And in an emergency you can always retrofit it.
