I was not here last year and therefore I'm not up to date anymore but now I wanted to buy an "Xbox one" for the next time.
I find almost no normal "Xbox one" just "xbox one s / x". Since I will probably take the "s" because it is cheaper and is only weaker (right?) And the performance of the normal "one" had already been enough for me (unfortunately I no longer have).
From my old "one" I still have a few games (CDs) that shouldn't be a problem with the "s" if I take care not to buy the "all digital" right?
And does the controller of the "s" have a normal AUX connection or do you need an adapter like the normal "one"?
Times set the Xbox one names in "…" for a little better clarity
With the Xbox one S you can also play normal disc games. The only difference to the X is the performance and the lack of 4k resolution.
The Xbone S controller has the normal headphone jack, and still needs to be used with batteries (even though we're in 2020).
You might consider getting a regular used one as the new generation is coming at the end of the year.
It's hard to find: / but would you know where I can get one?
I'm really sorry that I chose "not helpful", I actually wanted to write a comment and then the page moved a bit in the last X (
Thanks for the answer
I can still connect the controller to the Xbox with a USB cable, right?
The S is just a slimmer, better-cooled version of the normal Xbox, but it has got an integrated 4K Blu-ray player.
The X is the stronger version at the moment. It can play some games in 4K, generally simply better than the standard version or the S version. You also have the 4K Blu-ray player.
The new Xbox should come to the Christmas business at the end of this year. Therefore, the price of the current Xboxen drops significantly. Now you can grab an X here and there for little money.
The good thing about the new Xbox will be that all games for the old and the new Xbox will be released for at least a whole year. That means you can play it even with an S or X.
The xboxes have HDMI connection
Here is an article about your two

Yes. No problem.
Then I'll work through your questions. But first, yes there's only the One S or One X. The normal your One has not been manufactured for a long time.
The One S is a bit more compact, has a 4k Blu-ray player on board, a built-in power supply and supports HDR. However, UHD is only found in films or ingame sequences. In normal game mode, the console only scales the image up.
The One X has all of the above but also has a lot more power. You can see this not only in the native 4k resolution in games that the One S does not support, but in many games you have a 60 Hz mode, generally more stable frame rates, better image structure or higher foresight. All of this, of course, only with a suitable TV or monitor and depending on the will of the developers to use the advantages.
Unless you buy the All Digital, which has no drive, you can continue to use your games. A one always remains a one and therefore also plays all Xbox One games.
You no longer need an adapter for the headset because the new controllers, since the One S all have a jack connection.
Hope I could help you too.
You do not have to use batteries, especially since this does not make ecological or economic sense.
You can use your own batteries or battery packs from various manufacturers.
However, I recommend the original Play and Charge Kit from Microsoft. The batteries last quite a long time, can be charged while playing with the included USB cable and are also very durable.
Aha 🙄🤔
