YouTube and Twitch. How do i start

Hello first of all to everyone who is reading this. My name is Crimsonshade, but you can also call me Erik and I have a feage here that really interests me, because it is something that I have enjoyed doing since my "young" childhood.

And my question is about YouTube and Twitch, or generally streaming. I'm in the process of completing my Abitur and have made up my mind to start with all of this after passing the Abitur exam. However, I have some questions that I would like to have answered ^^

(I would prefer answers from people who have experience with something like this and not, as I'm still young Finsche in the topic. But of course such people can also write to me. I'm open to tips)

YouTube

The following questions concern me. (Btw I mainly want gaming videos. So either now and then let's play, but search for guides and something)

1.1. What should I record with?

I personally have always recorded my current videos with OBS (Open Broadcaster Software). I'm just wondering if there are alternatives to it that may work better. (I don't mind if it costs anything)

1.2. How should I start?

By that question, I mean someone has a tip for me on how I can get more out of myself and, I say, talk more than I would normally play alone. Because at the moment I always feel a bit stupid if I only talk to myself and a microphone.

2. Twitch

Here I would like to take an example from my name Fetter Gronkh. And by that I don't mean the viewer numbers, but how he streams at all. So I mean the way.

2.1 Do you think that's a good idea?

I'm not 100% sure that this is a good idea when I try to compare and imitate something as a small flaw at a giant located in German-speaking countries. However, only built in with my own charm, of course.

2.2. The same question as in 1.1. What should I stream with?

Is OBS a good choice here, or does someone recommend me something else?

2.3. When would it be ok to invest money in the matter?

By that I do not mean that I do not even pay 60 euro for a new Tripple A game to stream, but I mean when do you start, really pay for design, alerts and all that, or is at my discretion?

2.4 Dear TipeeeStream or StreamLabs?

What do you prefer / where are there better experiences with, or are there some that are much better?

I think that's it with my questions. If I still have some I will add them ^^ Thank you for all helpful tips and apologize for some mistakes. I typed this on my cell phone and I can mess with the auto correction.

Re

Please leave it because the way I read it, you only want to do it for money, it's not a hobby anymore

Where did I write that I want to do it for financial reasons. Of course I want to do it as a hobby. Only I think so too, if then correctly and not so somehow

me

OBS is of course the right choice.

A good microphone is also a must → headset in this case

sh

I agree. Every successful YouTuber started out for fun. Just be yourself, be entertaining and unique.

Thank you very much. Do you have any other tips for me?

Haha ok good! Trd thank you for your help

Nice that you want to dedicate to streaming. But keep in mind that it is a long way to your goal.

1.1 - 2.2

Obs - Obs is a very clear favorite in the field of "streaming" - I would clearly take Obs. Since you vlt. If you are new, you might be able to install Obs Streamlabs because you can install free designs etc. And customize them as you like. In short: it is stream-friendly. You can also add alerts, customize, everything related. It even has an integrated mod system.

1.2

Better with Twitch than on Youtube

Why? It's easier to get viewers on Twitch than on Youtube. It's just like that, because when you start with videos, you have to cough until the first real reach arrives. There are numerous channels, videos, etc.

If you have a number of reach, you can make YouTube videos on the side.

2.1

Be yourself, stop pretending, just because you are streaming does not mean that you are politically correct or something like that. Be yourself, do what you like, gamble what you like and behave as you would in front of your friends.

2.3

If there are no other ways out for designs etc., then you can of course hire a designer, is not an issue, but I think you could be more creative yourself and learn how to do thumbnails, profile pictures etc. Professionally. It's not that difficult in theory.

BUT! It is your business, you determine your life. Pay for designs, etc. If you think the time is right.

2.4

Streamlabs = more beginner-friendly; Tipeestream = more professional:

But both have an alert system, donation system, and other great extras.

Oh and, great success. I wish you success and good luck with your streaming career. Trust me, everything has its time. My friend reached his desired range in 6-7 months. Continue to be yourself!

Thanks for the great tips! Starting with Twitch instead of YouTube is also a good idea. In German, everything is just a matter of time and presumably regularity, of course.

Were very helpful thanks ^^
