Xbox One controller just doesn't come on?

My Xbox One controller just won't turn on. No matter what I do I have tried all the batteries in the house, but to no avail. I used the controller with cable and it works but the Xbox logo just doesn't want to react. I've also looked in Xbox Accessories to see if there's a driver update, but nope. Do you know what the problem could be? Can you help me?

Maybe press the little button on the box and on the controller. Otherwise, endure the xbox console and controller completely for 2 minutes. So batteries and cables out
