I would like to get a Playstation or Xbox soon, so I wanted to ask if my internet connection is fast enough to play online games like Rainbow Six Siege or something similar. Currently, I only have Wi-Fi in my room via the Fritz Wi-Fi Repeater 2400, which also has a connection for a LAN cable to plug in the console. Our router is from Telekom, the Speedport W724V type B. Would it suffice to connect the console to the LAN port on the repeater or another connection would be better. Incidentally, a power line is not possible because the router is plugged into a different power network than the console.
You can connect the console to the repeater, only then there could be a higher ping.

A connection via repeater is not necessarily the best prerequisite. Have you measured your speed (download, upload and ping)?
The W724V is also a relatively old model, which, if rented, can be exchanged for a new one free of charge. There are now better routers that have a much stronger WLAN module. Under certain circumstances, a repeater is no longer necessary if the router is exchanged.

Unfortunately I don't know whether the speed port is rented or bought, but icv has just measured my upload and download speeds. The upload speed. Is 1.66Mbit / s and the download speed. 8.23Mbit / s.

What kind of line did you book DSL / VDSL 16/25/50? If necessary, call Telekom and ask about the router. The staff there are very nice and competent.

It's OK, but not great… You should book a better line to play. The best thing to do is to talk to your parents and Telekom about what speed is possible with you.
