I got the Elite Series 2 controller, there was a GamePass Ultimate inside and 3 months of Live Gold… Now I first loaded 6 months of Live Gold and then redeemed the GamePass. My Live Gold runs on July 7th. 2020 out but why does the Ultimate expire why exactly because I don't understand it?
That is probably a mistake I also discovered: where last year during the E3 the 2 Euro for 2 months Gamepass Ultimate premium was valid, I got Gamepass Ultimate for it. My existing Xbox Live Gold was still running for 4 months from there, which should now expire this January. When I got Gamepass Ultimate for 2 euro, I thought I would have Gamepass until November, and until March instead of this month. Instead, xbox live will cancel my Gold subscription with immediate effect, replacing it with Gamepass ultimate. The remaining 4 months of gold were then simply transferred to the Gamepass subscription, so far so good, I expected.
BUT: for an inexplicable reason, there were also 4 months of Gamepass, so I got not only the Extended Gold but also Gamepass by March. I still don't know why I got 4 months of gamepass for free without a reason. Xbox support, the customer chat, was also speechless when I explained the error to them. Ultimately, nothing was done on the part of Microsoft, which is why I'm somehow happy to have received Xbox Gamepass for free.
