How does a console pre-order from Microsoft work?

Moin, I will pre-order the Xbox Series S in the Microsoft Store on September 22nd, 2020. How does that go? What do you have to specify and when is the money debited? How can I check the pre-order?

Usually you pay it immediately and get a confirmation email. It will probably be delivered on the day of publication (possibly a few days earlier). But then you get an email with the shipping confirmation.

You would most likely have to show off; Personal data, address, payment method, etc.
