It may be that your PC does not recognize the jack plug. Latch bent?
I have an audio control device connected to the PC (5.1 system with manual control box next to the monitor) there I plug in the headphone jack every day on and off. One day I could hear nothing more from the 5.1 system, because the Kontrollbox had a mistake. The box thought that the headphones are now in forever, they were unplugged.
Detecting the PC still does the jack plug.
Does your headset have such a wheel for the Leutstärke? Something wrong? Bent? If the headset is still new, you have a right on repair (2 times) or replacement.
