Can the battery have been broken by putting things on it?

I bought a Fairphone 3 yesterday. I had the battery outside and the cell phone open today when my mother took it away because she thought I should do something else. Then she put the battery on the shelf, then put the rest of the cell phone on top and then my sister's Nintendo Switch on top, which was a few minutes until I saw it and stacked it apart. The battery of the Fairphone 3 has a firmer shell and you can't see any damage from the outside, can anything be broken inside?
