How do I connect my Nintendo Switch Game Cube Controller to the PC? (with USB)?

Did you simply connect an original Gamecube controller to the switch using a cable / adapter? Then it should actually work on the PC too, but you have to install a driver for it. Or is it a switch controller in the Gamecube look? You can easily connect the Joy Cons and Switch Pro Controller to the PC via Bluetooth or USB C cable, I also often use my Switch Pro Controller on the PC via Bluetooth.
