Connect the switch to the TV with an alternative adapter?

Is it possible to connect the Nintendo Switch to the TV with the LMP USB-C mini Dock (HDMI, USB 3.0, Ethernet, SD / microSD card reader, USB-C)?

I would like an alternative to the Nintendo Switch docking station. Since I already have the LMP adapter for my MacBook, I have just tried to connect the switch to the television with it, unfortunately without success.

I would now be interested in whether it works in principle, i.e. Whether I did something wrong or whether it is not possible at all with this adapter.

If your TV has USB-C it could work but I don't know of any TV that has it.

Various USB-C adapters have been suggested to me to make it work. I'm just wondering why it doesn't work with the one I already have.
