Good Nintendo Switch games for 1-2 people?

It is quite likely that I will soon have a Nintendo Switch with my sister.

We don't know much about it yet, but it's supposed to be pretty cool.

Now the thing is that my sister is only at home at the weekend and lives elsewhere, for example, and she said that she would also like to take the console there and play with it alone. At the same time, we also want to play with it often.

This means that we would very much like to buy a first game where both would be possible. A game itself is quite expensive (by my standards), so a game should be enough.

We'd love to play Super Mario Party because I've played it with someone before and it was so much fun. Only I don't know if you can play it alone and to what extent it is fun alone. I'd love to try Animal Crossing, but I don't think it's even on the market.

Sure, Mario Kart wishes my sister, for example, and you can play that on your own, but we already have it on two other game consoles and you want to have something new to start with.

So the question for all switch owners:

What kind of games do you have (whether Mario games or something that could just be fun for girls) that you can play well alone and in pairs? Or is Mario Party also for single players (good)?

In

Mario Party is very boring alone. Otherwise I can think of Super Smash Bros Ultimate, 1.2 switch (only for two players) and Super Mario Odyssey (absolute recommendation) is also possible for 1-2 players. And of course Super Mario Bros U Deluxe

Go

So Mario Party is even possible alone?

Could you briefly describe what you do with the games "Super Smash Bros Ultimate", "Super Mario Odyssey" and "Super Mario Bros U Deluxe"? Because getting information from private individuals is easier to understand the description of the game.

Tomorrow the new Animal Crossing is coming, maybe that would be something?

You can also play Mario Party alone, but it's not much fun. Super Mario Odyssey is an open world Mario game. Watch a short info video about it, it is well explained. Smash Bros is a game in which different Nintendo characters (and also those from other franchises) fight against each other. It is without blood or violent brutality, it simply depends on beating your opponent off the map. Smash Bros is fun alone, but also with multiple players.
Super Mario Bros U Deluxe is a classic jump and run with Mario in a colorful style

I'm not the person but:

Smash: Various well-known Nintendo (also some others) fight against each other in 2D style (e.g. Super Mario, Link, Donkey Kong, SOnic, …)

Odyssey: A 3D Mario where you have to collect moons and in the end save Peach from Bowser but the special thing about this part is that you can turn into opponents through your living cap

Mario U Deluxe: This is a port from the Wii you and also a 2D Mario where you who would have thought it would have saved peach from Bowser. Unfortunately, I don't know the differences between the port and the original, but you can easily google it. : 3

To be honest, I find the Mario Party part on the Switch totally boring. There are comparatively few mini-games, which you can quickly learn. Especially since it is much less fun alone.

Then dear Mario Kart. You already know somehow, but it's still fun. Both alone and with up to four players.

Animal Crossing New Horizons is coming out soon. But is a single player game (local). You can visit others on the Internet, but that requires a second switch and a second game.

Otherwise there would be Super Smash Ultimate. If you like smash you will be happy with it

Unfortunately, this is only for single players… But we will definitely get it sometime, but first we're looking for a first game where you can play alone and together.

In addition to the games already mentioned several times, I would also recommend Luigi's Mansion 3. This can be played alone or in pairs and is fun in both cases.

You can play Animal Crossing New Horizons on the switch in local mode with 4 people simultaneously on one console. I already have the game and it says so on the back of the packaging.

How in local mode? Do you mean four people on a console with a cardridge or already with four switches but without the internet fees

Go

OK. I received the information that you need a Nintendo Account for this. I know 0 about the switch, but the main thing is that I can play it with my sister without her needing her own switch or something similar

You can play New Horizons on a single console with up to 4 people. You just need the right number of JoyCons, then it works. Also shown in Animal Crossing Direct, for example.

It also does not need its own switch. You can play Animal Crossing together on a single switch without someone having to own a second switch.

You only need both a user profile on your switch, possibly a Nintendo Account must also be linked on both profiles, unfortunately I can't tell you that.

Later in the game there's the possibility that several people can move to the island and then play together at the same time.

So two people can have a user profile there, right?

You can create up to 8 profiles on the switch.
