American news about American Nintendo Switch account?

I have an American account for my Nintendo Switch and am therefore receiving news for American users in the news channel. Can you turn it off somehow? I would only like to receive news that I can relate to. I couldn't find anything about this in the news channel settings.

No, my language was German from the start. The messages I receive are logically in English as they are addressed to American users.
