News from PlayStation?

Been getting messages from PlayStation for a while.

The contents are something like:

As of April, the Gta $ Bonus can only be claimed through the Ps Store.

Or that the community function of Psn will soon no longer be available.

So the news really doesn't seem to be fake or scam, just news.

What I find extremely strange is that until today I have never received any news mail from PlayStation. My friends don't get these notifications either.

Is that normal?
