I'm currently looking for an indie game for the Nintendo Switch Lite. I checked out The Binding of Issac Afterbirth Plus and it doesn't look bad. But for 40 euro it was very nice.
Do you have experience with The Binding of Isaac Afterbirth plus and is it worth digging deep into your pocket? Never played the game before.
What can you recommend for indie games or what was the best indie game for you on the Switch? Best Rougelike and Metroidvenia titles.
Don't mention games like Dead cells, Celeste, Hollow Knight and Cuphead because I already own them and have done them.
I don't think I have as many hours of play with anything as with Isaac. It constantly fluctuates between "funny, frustrating" and "extremely motivating" and, in my opinion, it is above all a great game to only play 5 minutes in between.
If you like cozy things, I can still recommend Stardew Valley. Terraria is actually always possible, it's a mixture of building, exploring and then sometimes tough battles.
Both are not roguelikes, but have at least a small role-play impact due to improved equipment.
As a Metroidvania it is definitely worth noting:
The Messenger
Bloodstained
Momodora: Reverie under the Moonlight
As a rouge like I could recommend Darkest Dungeon.
Addendum: Incidentally, Isaac will soon get the last dlc (it's already out on the PC). Wait a little longer with the purchase, maybe there will be a good offer for everything together.
That with Isaac sounds pretty good, but is 40 euro still a recommendation for a purchase?
I already own Stardew Valley, but it's not quite my cup of tea.
I don't like Terraria at all in terms of gameplay. Reminds me of Minecraft and I'm not a Minecraft player at all 😅

Personally, I think 40 euro for indie games is basically too much. But objectively, I've played it a lot longer than some top titles, so it's probably worth it.
What else comes to mind: I thought Rogue Legacy was pretty good. Do you know that?

Of the Metroidvanias, The Messenger goes the longest, with Bloodstained depending on the part. Curse of The moon is relatively short there. Darkest Dungeon can be played the longest of the games mentioned.
The replay time until one is through, I don't remember, was a long time ago. But you can spend a bit of time with it.
