I have been playing Outlast and Outlast Whistleblower on my Nintendo Switch for a while now and have often noticed that the game is apparently lying or the protagonist is simply not moving for about a second after opening a door or coming out of a wall sap, Is this somehow normal for the game or is it only in the switch version? I saw some Let's Plays for this game and I didn't see any such lags. These lags can also be a hindrance when you are fleeing from an opponent, and that would of course be really annoying.
Try to uninstall and reinstall the game.
If that doesn't work, call Nintendo switch support.
