Nintendo switch charging battery icon remains permanently visible?

Hi

Everyone says that when the switch is being charged, a battery icon appears briefly on the screen and then it goes dark again.

For me, the screen shows this icon permanently and does not go dark again.

How can that be?

What can I do?

For some console issues, you either have to empty the battery and recharge it completely, or just reboot.
