Can I buy games for the Switch online before I have the console?

I ordered a Nintendo Switch. Due to the circumstances at the moment, this will only be delivered at the end of June. At the moment there's a game sale only available for download at Nintendo online. Does anyone know if I can shop there and then download the games at the end of June or if this is only possible if I already have the switch?

Yes, you can create an account on the page using the browser and buy the games. Later on the switch you have to log in with this account, then you can download it.

For me this means that a switch must be connected to my account. What am I doing wrong?
