At the latest Nintendo Direct, for example, this new Open World Pokémon game was announced, which already didn't look so smooth in the video clips (no good FPS). It's kind of… I don't know.
I would buy a switch especially for the game, but especially for the D / P remakes, in order to be able to play these titles.

A new console is announced every 6-8 years, so yes it's still worth it and no Switch 2 won't be around.

I don't think Pokemon Legend Arceus is beautiful either… Especially the flickering edges, the textures… Terrible. But as I said, it's still a while and how the game goes is NEVER up to the switch.
