I destroyed my 3DS XL 6 years ago, i.e. The top glass. Now I would like to take it to the repair service. If the repair service would get the Nintendo whole again, how much would that cost, does the media market still do that?
Because Nintendos are no longer made and stuff
The Nintendo Service only does this occasionally. Go to a cell phone / games workshop. There's a lot of that on the internet too.
If you've only really damaged the glass and the screen underneath is still undamaged, you can simply get a replacement part for a few euro on Ebay.
Repairing the glass is relatively simple, the glass is only held in place by adhesive strips at the edges and, unlike modern smartphones, is not attached to the screen itself with adhesive.
You just have to be careful not to damage the screen with the broken glass.
The upper screen itself would be available for less than 20 euro on Ebay, but the installation is relatively complicated because you have to take the 3ds xl completely apart and run the rolled up ribbon cable through the right hinge.
