Do not know if I'm right with this, but I'm looking for the original Nintendo 3DS a few experiences and tips regarding the replacement of the two LCD screens - unfortunately both are broken and a long time the console was just rum, now I would like to have one Try repair.
Do you have experiences with the cheap 10 euro LCDs from Ebay?
Are they good for what?
What kind of (cheap) tool kit can you recommend and is the effort big?
In addition, I have languished the battery cover, but unfortunately can't find a replacement online.
Everywhere only the 3DS XL covers…
If anyone knows where I get them, then I would be happy about a link!
Should color be black…
I've already watched a few videos about it and that actually does not seem to be that easy.
Many ribbon cables that need to be removed before coming to the two displays.
And then roll up the ribbon cable again, so you can fiddle it through the hinge…
Have a Samsung Galaxy S3 disassembled, that was very easy.
But think the 3DS is another level…
Or what do you think about this?
Is the repair worth it?
Would have to spend about 35 euro for spare parts, I need new L / R buttons also…
I'm looking forward to your answers.
My Nintendo 3DS has almost exactly the same problem as your xD
I bought a new one directly, because the 10 euro parts of ebay are not worth anything, according to many "gaming" friends of mine
Since the repair is not exactly cheap and a brand new one does not cost any world fortune, I decided directly for the new one
(the repair would have cost something with 50-70 euro)
