System / software updates despite wrong date?

I occasionally present the system time on my Nintendo Switch console so that I can play the new day in games like Pokémon or Animal Crossing, for example. Do I have to assume that due to the deactivated synchronization with the Internet and the wrong date, software or system updates will not be made available or found?
