First of all: I know that you shouldn't order classified ads on eBay without buyer protection. The following: I wanted to buy a Nintendo Switch Lite for 150 euro, which is a completely normal price… The seller was absolutely normal and made no signs of urging me to ship or to pay… But since I paid, I no longer get an answer from him (for more than 3 days and otherwise within 1h) now the question is this a sign of fraud or is it normal that some just take a long time to report?
I paid with Paypal (F&F) and the amount is debited from my visa credit card, which offers extensive buyer protection. I could theoretically repeat the money, but I would like to know what you say about it, since I had never bought anything on Ebay classifieds.
Please do not see any comments like your money again. Since I didn't do it for the first time, I know that it will work (I just hang Paypal on my neck and they have to pay me because of my buyer protection visa and because it is not your fault you book it from the type of his account again).
So I also sell classified ads on Ebay and we have never seen anything like this, but you hear that more often. But we have never ordered / sold anything with a large amount of money. I think the higher the amount of money, the more likely it is that you will be screwed. It would be worth it to rip someone off for 10 euro and risk an advertisement
OK thank you. Under the circumstances mentioned above, would you assume that it could be a scam?
Yes, I would say. A friend of mine was cheated on and it was "only" 80 euro
OK
If you're unlucky, the money is gone. If you use the buyer protection of your credit card, the money will only be taken by PayPal. Then you are there in the minus and there are problems.
Thank you for the answer. I have now submitted the application to my bank and asked PayPal. They said that if my bank gets it back, they get it from the seller (recipient).
Can't. They don't get PayPal money from the seller.
