It is worth getting a nintendo switch lite, keep thinking about getting me one (price is completely clear / i would like to have a console / handheld on which i can gamble on the side)

many advise against it and people who own one complain because the lite breaks down quickly, but still many buy the switch lite. I'm torn: /

I'll explain it!
In terms of price, the Lite is of course better than the Switch, but not in terms of durability!
In all honesty, I would save the money and buy a normal one because you can't play all Switch games on the Lite, but only 80% of all games.

I'm currently saving my money on a Switch Pro that should be out soon and I think it's more worthwhile for my circumstances.

PS: Make up your own mind, I would recommend saving a little longer and buying a Switch or saving like me to buy a Switch Pro (of course only when it comes on the market)

The Switch has one big problem, that is the controls on the Joycons.

With the big switch that's not a thing, then you swap it after 2-3 years, it is about 50 euro for a new one because Nintendo refuses to accept this problem and correct it (they just pretend the problem does not exist)

But with the Lite the parts are permanently installed, that means as soon as you can no longer control, you can actually throw the Lite away.

And at the moment I would wait another year; it could be that Nintendo will bring something new soon

You just want to use it sometimes. That's why a Lite would be worthwhile for YOU.

Co

That is unlikely.

In addition, Joy Con drifts quite quickly.

Se

Yes, after 2 years I have described that. Yes the Switch Pro is unlikely but more likely a new console after 5 years of life of the old one (especially since the others are now on the market from Sony & Co,)

Co

As far as I know, no new switch has been announced.

It depends on how important the TV mode is to you. If you're only interested in the handheld, then the Lite is enough in my opinion.
Mine is now a year old and has no problems whatsoever

Se

I said it probably will, based on the release dates of previous consoles. Then please read my posts carefully.

I would just like to have a switch to gamble on the side, e.g. While watching tv.

and most of them are against a switch lite because it should break more easily / faster, and my biggest worry is that I will invest unnecessarily money in a switch lite if I can't use it for long.

Yes i would like to get a switch / switch lite, a switch lite would be enough for me but my biggest worry is that i would spend 100 euro for free on the lite and not even be able to use it for long.

That's why I didn't really think about it when I bought it ^^ but once read that the Lite is probably not in danger of getting a joycon drift, because the Lite are probably built differently
