Will Nintendo offer more quality again in the future or will it continue to lag behind the mainstream?

To show that I'm not a hater, but actually a huge fan of Nintendo, I'll start with the positive. Overall, with the Switch, Nintendo made a successful rescue of the group possible with a revolutionary concept. The first months were particularly strong: Splatoon 2, Super Mario Odyssey, Zelda Breath Of the Wild, all great games, and with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe they released a nice new edition of the game. But apart from the good games Pokémon Mystery Dungeon DX and Super Mario Maker 2, only copies of games already published for the Wii you were made. Thus, the true fans who remained loyal to the problematic Wii U Nintendo were completely neglected. I can still live with Mario Kart, but the fact that the main representatives of new releases only get a copy for even more money years after the original was released shows pure greed for money. I'm not saying that these games are not good, but it is outrageous to withhold completely new games from fans. Years ago it was said that Pikmin 4 was in development, and all we get is a copy of its predecessor. In addition, Switch Online is an absolute cheek, since the games and accessories are more expensive than they were with the Wii U anyway, to pay extra just to be able to play online, which is copied from Microsoft and Sony. In addition, there's much less choice in the e-shop than on the Wii U, and the constant centralization of the NES titles is worn out. Even with Super Mario Allstars 3D, they didn't even bother to upgrade Super Mario 64 with HD textures, for example. I really hope that in the future Nintendo will become more customer friendly and put more effort into new games. There are many hacks that are better than some official games…

What about pokemon That went very well.

Nintendo is likely to have problems with shareholders for "missing out" so much forecast sales anyway.

Pokémon was completely screwed up on the Switch anyway. The only hope is the release of Diamond and Pearl Remakes.

Because let's be honest, you've seen enough of the 1st generation.

I can't share your view. I think it's absolutely understandable that Nintendo is releasing very good Wii U games for the Switch. That is not greed for money, it is absolutely right that the games are sold properly again. I also like to spend money twice on good games.
You also have to remember that good games take time and don't grow on trees. So it wouldn't be a lot more greedy if Nintendo prematurely released games that were then bad or unfinished? I don't think BotW would have been the bestseller if Nintendo had hastily released the game in 2014.
I think it's better if Nintendo "quickly" releases a port of a classic for the Switch in order to generate the necessary sales. This then gives them the time they need for really good new content.

Oh yes? You can't tell me that you don't get baked within 7 years of developing a new 2D Mario or Donkey Kong. New Super Mario Bros DS came out in 2006, three years later the ingenious successor for the Wii. Three years later, two more good successors for 3DS and Wii U came out. The effort from back then can still be done today!

Maybe it also failed because of the financing?
The Wii you just flopped, maybe it was just smarter to focus on the big bestsellers first. Also, Shadow is currently dropping new content from Nintendo, so maybe a new title is already planned for this year or next.

Hopefully so that the Switch doesn't feel like a copy of the Wii U.
