The title actually says it all. I would like to buy a new TV, I have in mind the GQ55Q6FN or the GQ55Q7FN from Samsung.
Since I also want to gamble with my Xbox One X from time to time, I wanted to inform myself in advance from which height you notice this lag. The televisions have 15-16ms input lag.
It is extremely important to me (since I'm very meticulous with something), that I do not notice anything there. At the moment, therefore, I gamble with my Xbox on a computer monitor.
Unfortunately, I find my monitor 23CA550U no input lag information, otherwise I would already have a clue.
Under 40ms it should be, better under 30. This year's QLEDs from Samsung have pretty much the best values on the market.
Monitors usually have about 10ms.
My TV has 34ms, which is not necessarily a top value, and I'm still often at the top of the scoreboard… So I think the input lag discussion a bit overrated.
Many thanks for your response.
With this year you surely mean the 2018, right?
For example, on my TV is the horrible - because you can release the stick again and then follows the action. For me is not even a car racing game zockbar on the TV - unfortunately, this does not have a game mode.
So your opinion is that if you have 10ms or 30ms is not noticeable?
Yes. 2019 (Lag) will probably not be better, but much more expensive.
Of course, no game mode is anything else - we're talking about 100+ ms on current devices. I can already imagine that in direct comparison, a difference between 10 and 30ms, but still can play with 30ms absolutely problem-free.
So you meant with this year's 2018 models or?
Personal opinion of you? Honest the Q6FN or Q7FN? If yes, both have according to my research 15-16ms in the game mode… With the Xbox there are still in the context of the VRR mode where there are only 7ms.
Yes, 2018. Both good, Q6FN just cheaper. I do not even know what extra features the Q7 has. Twin tuners maybe? Just take the Q6FN in 49 "(downgraded) .A class better would be the Q8DN and the Q9FN.
That the Q6FN as 49Zoll variant is downgraded and thus actually less suitable for gambling I have already read. Come anyway, however, only 55 inches for me in question.
Hmm. About the other two variant, I would have to make even smarter today, because the input lag is lower in these?
Since I have to set up a whole house, the TV should have a good price-performance ratio. But I do not want to compromise, so I would rather pay more. However, assuming the models are equally good at the cheaper tend.
