I'm watching a second episode of Young Sheldon's Sheldon playing a Zelda-like game with Mimaw on Super Nintendo. It was not Zelda because the main character did not have the typical link outfit.
Does not necessarily have to be an official game. Sometimes there are licensing problems and then you just invent your own game, movie, series. For example, Dr. House invented its own hospital dailysoap because the rights holders of General Hospital did not want to release the license.
And the console is, as far as I can see, not even a Super Nintendo, but some fake.

I have to say it, that was, to the best of my knowledge a fake game, but the system was an NES ( Nintendo Entertainment System ) released in 1985. It had the first 2 Legend of Zelda games, and the first Final Fantasy game played on it. The game in the episode has the same symbols as the first Legend of Zelda game with the 4 symbols moved around on the shield to avoid copyright issues.
and as I go through the episode, they used an NES box and some mocked up NES/Sega hybrid, would have been easier to just use the 2 tone grey box without the little black thing on top. Also likely copyright issues.
System hybrid is up to 3, NES, SNES, and Sega by the look of it
