I have an inexplicable problem. On my TV (samsung) the ps4 and the nintendo switch are connected to the 2 HDMI connections.
if you are currently switching to the HMDI connection of the ps4, no picture will appear, only sound. In order to alternatively access amazon prime, I connected the firetv stick. That too is not recognized.
however, if the nintendo switch or a laptop is connected to the same HDMI connection, the devices work (picture and sound). If the ps4 and amazon stick are connected to the nintendo switch's HDMI connection, no picture will appear.
on another television, however, the ps4 and firetv stick work without any problems via the HDMI connection.
can someone explain to me how this phenomenon comes about?
The way you tested it (correctly), I would guess a software error on the TV.
Check if there's a firmware update for your TV and if not, reset the TV to factory settings and then install the current firmware again.
