200 Mbit / s download rate and still nothing arrives?

I did an internet connection test on my PlayStation 4 and reached a download rate of 207 Mbit / s. Now I wanted to download a game with 4 GB and yet it shows me that it takes over 1 hour that can't be. Does anyone know advice?

The fastest internet line is of no use if the server you are downloading from is overloaded or does not provide enough bandwidth…

How is your playstation connected to the internet… Wi-Fi (how far is it from the router)?

200mbits also sounds like cable internet, which is usually not so stable anyway and, depending on the provider and region, is sometimes significantly below the promised performance:-)

But it can happen if, for example, the server does not deliver 200Mbit / s.

For a PS I start from the PlaystationNetwork servers which shouldn't be a problem:-)

It is a known issue that downloads on Playstation take longer. Your download speed is only one side. The other side are the servers from which you want to download something.

There are various other settings such as opening the correct ports or changing the DNS, or a fixed IP. But I assume that you have already implemented these things?

You can assume that, but PS servers, Steam servers, Ubisoft servers etc. Often have problems with high performance. The reasons for this are all speculative.

Maybe the server where you download the game can't deliver the data faster?
