PS4 controller chrome buttons feel different from standard PS4 buttons?

The chrome buttons feel different from the normal PS4 buttons. So the circle, triangle, square and X buttons. They sound a little quieter when you press them and just feel a little different when you feel the pressure, as if it somehow seems to be more difficult to press them. Is that normal? Ordered the controller from King Controller.
